مفهوم الموقفية في معهود الخطاب العربي وأثره في المتلقي : دراسة وصفية وتحليلية

Abstract

This research discusses conditions and differences which always render a discourse to be relevant and become a communicative entity. The effects of these issues could have impact on both text producer and recipient. The main theme of this research is the issue of “Situationality” among the standards of textuality, which is applied in line with the Arabic linguistic convention of producing and receiving text and discourse. Therefore, two research methods are dully adopted in this work; the first describes the meaning, concept, functions, principles and linguistic intuitions of the term “Situationality” under Text Linguistic Studies and also envisions the concept of Arabic linguistic conventions when producing, receiving and interpreting a text, observing the rapport it has so far with the actions and reactions of the modern recipient. The second method lays a fundamental model for discourse analysis through both old and modern, prose and poetry, religious and non-religious versions of highly valued Arabic texts. This is simply to elaborate the significance of “Situationality” as a major effective standard of textuality and a proof of formal communicative entity. The research concludes with a number of invaluable results and discovers that the word “Situationality” has never been discussed in the primary references of Arab linguists as per subject-matter, but they only attempt to give fundamental clues that could lead to its concept through their linguistic intuitions and conventions. Research also confirms how far the cognition of contemporary linguists has been employed in establishing functions of “Situationality” on the basis of both cohesion and coherence in the discourse. It solemnly brings out the aspects of harmony in the perspectives of old and modern linguists in formulating techno-features of the situational context in order to successfully master correct reception and accomplish vivid interpretation of the text. Sequel to its aim at matching between the hereditary and contemporary linguistics, and having a fundamental foundation in the situational aspect of the Text Linguistics per se, the research entertains various analytical processes of Arabic discourse.
