dc.description.abstractThe main objective of this study is to identify the reality of teaching Arabic in private schools according to the British Curriculum in Khartoum - Sudan, from the teachers' point of view, students and some official and a researcher at the Ministry of Education. The research sample included four private schools with 397students in Khartoum; from the ninth grade to the eleventh grade, 13 Arabic language teachers who teach the same rows. In addition to this, the director of the General Administration of Acceptance and Evaluation and Documentation of Certification at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, also a researcher in the division of the Arabic language at the National Center for Curriculum and Educational Research Bakhtalrtuda. The researcher adopted a quantitative and qualitative methodology, two questionnaires were used to collect information from teachers and students, and two personal interviews with two important officials. The student's questionnaire contained 35 questions, while the teacher questionnaire contained 35 questions, and each of the interviews included 9 questions. The researcher used statistical procedure (Alpha- Cronbach) to measure the stability of the tool. Also the researcher used Statistical Package for Social Sciences, to analyze data for students and teachers, which depend on the frequency distribution and percentages. As for the interviews, the researcher analyzed the information contained in it. The output results showed the existence of a clear relationship between the lack of appropriate Arabic language syllabus, the current scarcity of specialist teachers and the reality of teaching Arabic language in these schools. What makes matter more complicated, the insistence of the universities acceptance administration not to consider Arabic as one of the conditions of admission to private universities. In the light of these findings, the researcher provided a number of recommendations and suggestions that will reform the reality of teaching Arabic in these schools.en_US
