علم المناسبات في تفسير "في ظلال القرآن" : سورة الكهف نموذجاً

Abstract

This research revolves around one of important dimensions of Qur’anic studies, known as Ilm Munasabat (co-relation discipline) it is considered as one of types of thematic exegetes discipline. This discipline is a meticulous discipline that requires one to assimilate the objectives of the Qur’an, its coherence and its inimitability. Thus, the central point of this study is to examine only on the side of tafsir Fi Zilal Al-Quran (1952) by Sayyid Qutb focusingly on Surah Al-Kahf. The researcher will first discuss on the Sayyid Qutb’s methodology of Ilm Munasabat and critically analyse the relation between the verses and the stories behind Surah Al-Kahf. This research employed a library research method in order to gather material and selected documents for this research. Apart from that, the researcher also applied a content analysis to achieve the purpose of the research. From the findings, it is shown that Sayyid Qutb is one of mufassirin, who is really conscious in dealing with Ilm Munasabat in his works. The study reveals that he classified Surah Al-Kahf into five parts consecutively which a connected to each other. From that, he divided this surah into small categories and mentioned the interconnectedness between the verses and the words (kalimah). On the other hand, Sayyid Qutb noted the correlation between the stories behind the verses and the central theme of the surah which is to purify faith, to establish correct and accurate thought and reasoning and to establish values that are sound according to the criterion of the Islamic faith.
