Abstract

This research study examines both literary and political aspects of the Mameluke Sultanate. It includes their significant literary and scientific achievements, the allegation the development this age was impede, and highlights the role of the Mamelukes in preserving Muslim lands. This study focuses on al-Bosiri, the poet, whose ode al-Borda is the most popular of his poems. The researcher utilises the descriptive, analytical and chronological methodologies to examine the poem. There are not many research done on al-Borda. Significant poetic contests, as well as its popularity with the people, until a prophet-praising literature Badi’iat emerged. The study also analysis the poetic experience in al-Bosiri’s Borda, illustrates its rhetoric instruments, depictive portrayals, and the opinions of some scholars. The study has, therefore, reached a number of results, most significant of which is that al-Bosiri depicted literature other than prophet-praising poetry. However, he was concerned with praising, and that al-Borda is one of the most glamorous poems that were composed to praise the Prophet, peace be upon him. Al-Bosiri has clearly employed all of his poetic creativity and powers in this poem. The sincerity and truthfulness of his compassion were also clear in the poem. The study concludes with the results and suggestions.
