Abstract

The main purpose of this study was to investigate Moodle interactive forum as an elearning platform affects students’ motivation on attention, relevance between the subjects and student learning needs, confidence and satisfaction. The framework of the study is a combination between two theories namely Motivation Theory by Keller and Interaction Theory by Moore. Quantitative method was applied. Data was collected from 200 undergraduate students from stratified random sampling. Instructional Material Motivation Survey (IMMS) was adopted for the data collection. The result of the study was found that Moodle forum attract student to learn and its content is relevant with the students’ learning needs but at low degree of agreement. In addition, the results discovered that Moodle forum build student confidence and improve students’ satisfaction while sharing with peer, student and content. The researcher recommended that Ajman University of Science and Technology give a great attention for the students’ interaction to enhance utilizing Moodle forum as an e-learning platform.
