Abstract

Out of the educational institutions’ interest in the development of educational and guidance societies, they have increased the interest in the teaching staff in all its specializations in general, and in the career guidance specialist in particular. Where this study aims to research and verify the relationship between psychological security and the level of ambition and their impact on the job performance of the career guidance specialist in the schools of the Sultanate of Oman Where the researcher distributed (550) questionnaires in five educational governorates to the study sample, and the researcher was able to retrieve (366) questionnaires valid for statistical analysis, and he used confirmatory factor analysis in the (SMART PLS) program, and he used structural equation modeling (SEM) to study structural relationships Among the three study variables (psychological security, level of ambition, and job performance The results of the study revealed the positive relationship between psychological security and the level of ambition and job performance, as well as the positive relationship between the level of ambition and job performance, and that the level of ambition has a mediating role between psychological security and job performance, and accordingly the researcher discussed and interpreted the results in the light of the theoretical framework and previous studies, and finally the research discussed The most important recommendations made by the study from two sides: recommendations for officials of the Ministry of Education, the Center for Vocational Guidance and Student Guidance, and the school administration, with general suggestions that can be used for future studies that serve the educational, educational and guidance side.
