Abstract

The research aims at highlighting the subject of looking up the UAE woman’s political future, as well as identification of her future roles in the political career both in the executive and parliamentary authorities; hence proving the existence of a gradual and well-studied change of the UAE community structure towards women. It further aims at the identification of the reasons that lead to the occurrence of such change along with the results engendered on woman’s existence in the UAE political domain and consequently proposing a set of solutions which might contribute to the enhancement of this woman’s stature. The researcher has relied on several scientific methodologies which she has used in her research. Thus, through the descriptive methodology, the researcher has described the UAE woman’s current status and then she has analyzed, through the analytical methodology, what the woman has actually attained by her political participation ever since its actual beginning in 2004. Moreover, the researcher has focused on the use of applied methodologies for looking up the future through the community change factors which support strengthening the woman’s role and her empowerment. Furthermore, the researcher has determined the possible opportunities of the objectives of enhancement of the woman’s political role in accordance with the UAE community change factors. In addition to that, the researcher has detected the threats which may obstruct the march of woman’s political future development in UAE. We reached a set of findings most important of which is: Proving that there are three historic developments in UAE history which have played a key role in changing the woman’s position in the UAE constitutional and legislative structure. The government appointments have been represented in the fundamental process for enhancing the woman political participation and that there is a close correlation between the increase of the woman’s education percentage of UAE and her superiority over man particularly in the higher education domain which has given her the right of political participation; having granted her multiple opportunities for increasing the political representation during the past years, noting that the years to come shall witness new political roles for women in UAE.
