تأويل مختلف الحديث" للإمام إبن قتيبة الدينوري : دراسة منهجية تحليلية

Abstract

This dissertation analyses the book of Imam Ibn Qutaibah al-Dinuri entitled Ta'wil Mukhtalaf al-Hadith. His book is regarded as one of the earliest book written in the area of contradicted hadith. Nature of this study is confined to the author’s methodologies in dealing with proclaim contradicted hadith. The research is also aimed at analysing his approaches to counter the proclamation. The methods that have being used in this study are content analysis of materials that are relevant to the study. At the same time, the research also applies the analytical approaches especially in investigating on how Imam Ibn Qutaibah al-Dinuri counters that false proclamation over contradicted hadith. The research focuses on three important points: a brief explanation of Imam Ibn Qutaibah al-Dinuri and his book of Ta'wil Mukhtalaf al-Hadith, the meaning of contradicted hadith and his methodology in presenting the book. One of the observations made in this study is that Imam Ibn Qutaibah al-Dinuri was a famous scholar in many fields. His book is also regarded as one of the important source in the area of contradicted hadith, especially in countering that there were ambiguities in hadith of Prophet MuÍammad (peace be upon him).
