This study aims to scientifically investigate the effect of Collaborative Strategic ?Reading on the development of composition writing skills. It also aims to understand ?student perspectives on the use of Collaborative Strategic Reading and its ?relationship to composition writing skills.?? ?The study used a quasi-experimental ?design with a single-group pretest-posttest design, as well as a quantitative approach ?to analyze the survey. The sample for this study consisted of 25 students from the ?fourth year of high school at Sekolah Agama Menengah Sungai Merab Luar.?? ?After ?collecting and analyzing data using SPSS, the research concluded that there was an ?increase in the mean score of the sample between the pre-test (25) and the post-test ??(39). This difference is statistically significant, which indicates that Collaborative ?Strategic Reading has an effective effect on the development of composition writing ?skills. The study also found that students have positive attitudes towards the use of ?this strategy, in terms of interest, motivation, increased vocabulary, and the ?strategy's contribution to the development of skills such as selecting appropriate ?ideas and using Arabic style.?
