    (Kuala Lumpur : International Islamic University Malaysia, 2014, 2014)
    Wan Musyirah binti Wan Ismail
    ;
    This study is about awareness of Cash Waqf among the Muslims in Malaysia. The main objective of this study is to investigate how far the Muslims in Malaysia are aware and have knowledge about Cash Waqf. Besides that, this study is also purposely conducted to know the most important factor related to Cash Waqf that can influence the public to contribute in Cash Waqf. The knowledge of Cash Waqf that may encourage more Muslims to participate in Cash Waqf are (1) when they know more about the institutions of Cash Waqf, (2) the process of collection and distribution of Cash Waqf and (3) the role of Cash Waqf. The existence of Cash Waqf is not really known to the public, compared to Waqf properties. Majority of Muslims want to contribute in Waqf because they know that the reward from Allah S.W.T for performing Waqf will remain forever. However, not all Muslims have their own properties to contribute to Waqf. Therefore, Cash Waqf is one of the solutions to provide alternatives to the Muslims to do so. This study is conducted to know the level of awareness among the Muslims towards Cash Waqf in order to give some recommendations to improve the awareness of Muslims for Cash Waqf. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, a set of questionnaires were distributed to 240 people in Klang Valley. Besides that, interview also has been conducted to get a clear picture on implementation of Cash Waqf in Selangor by Perbadanan Wakaf Selangor. The study found that only minority of the Muslims in Malaysia knows about Cash Waqf.
