Publication Anxiety in speaking arabic among lower secondary school students in Kuala Lumpur(Kuala Lumpur : Kulliyyah of Education, International Islamic University Malaysia, 2021, 2021); Sueraya Che Haron, Ph.DThis study on anxiety involved 280 student respondents from 18 Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur lower secondary schools that offer the Arabic Language as a foreign language. The main purpose of this study was to investigate the levels of anxiety among the students learning the Arabic Language as a foreign language, particularly the Arabic speaking skill that they have acquired since primary school. Horwitz's FLCAS (Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale) was adapted to assess the levels of four types of anxiety, namely communication apprehension (CA), fear of negative evaluation (FNE), test anxiety (TA), and anxiety of the classroom (AC). This study further examined significant differences in CA, FNE, TA and AC related to speaking Arabic as a foreign language, based on two selected demographic variables, gender and age. This research is quantitative employing the FLCAS questionnaire to collect the data. The sample was selected using purposive sampling. The findings revealed that the respondents' anxiety level of all four variables (CA, FNE, TA, and AC) were high and the anxiety level did not show any significant differences in terms of gender or age. The findings could have implications for the Arabic language's teaching and learning process in the classroom and help school administrators, policymakers and the Ministry of Education understand anxiety among the Arabic Language as a Foreign Language students in Malaysia. In conclusion, anxiety in the Arabic Language as a Foreign Language subject does exist, especially in terms of speaking skill.31 34 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

The study population consists of post-basic education students in the schools of Ad-Dakhiliya Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman for the year 2018/2019, amounting to (11942) male and female students, applied to them the quantitative study tool. The quantitative sample was chosen by way of stratified random sampling by 10% of the study population, which is estimated at (1232) male and female students. Moreover, the qualitative study sample was chosen by means of a random cluster method, estimated at 60 male and female students, by ten students for each group, with three groups for males, and three groups for females. In the statistical treatment, the study used arithmetic means and standard deviations to calculate the scores of social media use. Scores for irrational thoughts, and a T-test to calculate differences for the sex variable; And the (One Way Anova) test of variance to calculate the variance of the variable of household income. The study concluded several results including that the degree of students use of social media is within the average limits, and the majority of students use it less than three hours per day. The study results also showed that the WhatsApp software is the most used at a rate of 88.31%. The study population included (2048) beneficiaries from human development programs (in rehabilitation sector) at the Ministry of Education and (113) employees in the Human Resources Development Sector in the educational governorates and the Ministry’s General Office. The study sample included (408) beneficiaries and employees, as there were (322) beneficiaries of rehabilitation programs provided by the Ministry of Education in the Sultanate of Oman, and (86) employees in supervisory positions in the General Directorate for Human Resources Development. The researcher used the descriptive analytical method, and developed a questionnaire of (65) distributed in (6) domains, due to some theoretical literature. The findings revealed that: The general level of application of governance principles in rehabilitation sector at the Ministry of Education: came with moderate degree from the perspectives of employees in human development sector at the ministry, as well as those targeted by rehabilitation programs. The weak contribution of variables (partnership, transparency, accountability) in promoting human resources development from the perspectives of employees in human resources development, and justice is the only principle of governance that contributes to enhancing human resources development from the perspectives of employees in human resource development. The contribution of variables (partnership, transparency, accountability) in enhancing the development of human resources from the perspectives of beneficiaries in the rehabilitation programs. This confirms that the application of the three principles of governance (partnership, justice, accountability) contributes to enhancing the development of human resources from the perspectives of beneficiaries in rehabilitation programs. The study recommended the need to adopt international standards for measuring the quality of governance in the rehabilitation sector at the Ministry of Education, and attract expertise in administrative fields to develop vision for the mechanism of spreading the culture of governance in the rehabilitation sector. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication فاعلية برنامج إرشادي معرفي -سلوكي في تعزيز السلوك الإيجابي عند استخدام وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي لدى طالبات التعليم ما بعد الأساسي بسلطنة عمان(Kuala Lumpur : Kulliyah of Education, International Islamic University Malaysia, 2021, 2021) ;حراصي، علي خلفان حمد ;Harassi, Ali Khalfan Hamed ; ; ;Abdallah, Sekamanya Siraje, Ph.DSueraya Che Haron, Ph.DThis study aimed to build a cognitive behavioural counselling program and measuring its effectiveness in promoting positive behaviour when using social media among post-basic education female students in the Sultanate of Oman. It also aimed to identify the degree of positive behaviour when using social media among the study sample, as well as revealing the differences among the participants in the counselling program. The researcher adopted the quasi -experimental approach, to reveal the effectiveness of the counselling program. Therefore, he chose a group of (22) students that have distributed equally into two groups, an experimental group to which a collective counseling program was applied, and a control group that did not receive any programs. The program consisted of (14) counseling sessions, each lasting (45) minutes, over eight weeks with two sessions per week. To verify the equivalence of the two groups, the researcher used the t-test in the pre measurement, and calculated the arithmetic averages and standard deviations of the scores of the two groups on the scale of promoting positive behaviour when using social media and on each of its dimensions on each of the measurements; the pre, post and follow-up. The t-test was also used to verify the statistical significance of the differences of the reinforcement of positive behaviour when using social media, as measured by the total score of the scale. The results showed statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α≤0.05) between the pre and post measurements of the experimental group in the total score in favour of the post measurement which indicates that the program is effective in promoting positive behaviour. In addition, the results showed that the impact of the program in the experimental group is significant as it reached (2.46). It also indicated statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α≤0.05) between the experimental and control groups in the total score and in the social, value and ethical dimensions for the post measurement in favour of the experimental group. There were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α≤0.05) for the experimental group on the total degree of the scale and on the educational and cognitive domains, and in favour of the application of follow-up in the post-measurements and follow-up. It was found that the values of the effect size that were shown by the differences in the dimensional and follow-up measurements for the experimental group in the whole scale and in the educational and cognitive domains amounted to (2.00, 2.02) respectively. This is considered a significant effect according to the Al-Wahaibi, Al-Hadabi and Al-Kharousi criterion, which indicates the continuation of the effectiveness of the counselling program used in this study after a sufficient period.
