Publication بناء شخصية الطفل المسلم بين ابن سينا والغزالي : دراسة موازنة(Kuala Lumpur : Kulliyyah of Education, International Islamic University Malaysia, 2012, 2012) ;سليم، إيناس أحمد عمران ;Salim, Inas Ahmad 'Imran ;Children are the future of a society. For a Muslim society, the shaping of the personalities of its children is one of the most important matters. In Muslim societies today, educators and psychologists base their work with children on western models and theories. The purpose of this study was to analyze and compare the views of two prominent Muslim scholars, Al-Ghazali and Ibn Sina on the shaping of children’s personality. Among the main findings are that although the two scholars had different backgrounds, one being a philosopher-physician, while another was a sufi-jurist, they agreed on many aspects of rearing children. The common ground could be their firm belief in Islam and in the guidance of Prophet Muhammad. Ibn Sina put forward a complete program of child development, covering all the different phases of childhood. In this he was followed by Al-Ghazali who added more emphasis on spiritual development. Their views were combined into a model of child personality development that can be followed by child educators and therapists. It emphasizes the physical, social, cognitive, and spiritual development of children,,3 2
