This study aims to examine the idiosyncrasies of prophetic stories and attempts to analyze the narrative structure and rhetorical devices and explain the relationship between both in selected eight stories which were extracted from elevated hadith (hadith marfu’) in chapter four of the authentic prophetic stories by Umar Sulaiman Al-Ashqar, which manifest great faith models of the ancient nations. The author adopted an analytical approach to examine the elements of the narrative structure of each story and observe the rhetorical devices encompassed in the narrative statements with meticulous consideration of the contextual sentences and the situational circumstances. The findings of this study suggest that these stories are distinguished in their fascinating narrative from the incorporation of beautiful rhetorical elements which enthral the readers without disregarding the important educational factors and lessons conveyed.
