This study begins with an historical review of the periods experienced by tasawwuf in Morocco, in order to know the background of some of the sufi sects’ background that are still active since the Marini era. Then the research studies the new patterns of sufism in both its institutional and individual forms. It also concentrates on the relation between the new patterns of sufism and its environment which is the emitter of some changes on those patterns. Moreover, this research focuses on the role played by sufism in the rising of the civilization of Islam. It studies how sufism participated in the spread of the restricted culture, not based on any references except what Sheikh says in his speeches. Finally, the research finds that sufism is a rational discourse to the strength of confidence, which is lost by elite scholars, between the society and the state. Besides that result, the research summarizes how sufism was influenced by the general historical variables, particularly the black plague and the changes of the global trade roads.
