    (Kuala Lumpur : International Islamic University Malaysia,2016, 2016)
    Murshaidi Hazlin bin Mohammad
    ;
    Nowadays information is increasingly being produced in digital format. Some of these materials have long term value and should be preserved. In Institut Sukan Negara (ISN), these digital data are scattered and managed by each department without standardised method. This situation is not healthy for future preservation. This study was conducted to determine the current level of digital preservation awareness in ISN. Current practice related to digital material within ISN has been looked into. By integrating these two aspects, the current state of digital preservation readiness can be understood. Based on the result of the study, a framework on digital preservation implementation in ISN can be formulated. This study used survey method with 350 of ISN officers as population. 100 questionaires were distributed to ISN officers who were involved heavily with digital practices. The conclusions from the study are; i. The large ratio of participants that use online applications to manage their file would allow continuous access to digital files in the long run. ii. The large ratio of participants that use portable storage media would be risky to digital preservation. iii. Data shows that digital preservation activities and the level of digital preservation readiness are low.
