    Islam pays great attention to the teaching process in order to develop students’ personality and prepare them for a bright future. The Holy Quran however, mentioned various skills in teaching throughout the stories of the prophets (peace be upon them). This research aims to analyze the teaching skills which derived from the stories of prophets (peace be upon them). Furthermore, it aims to analyze the perceptions of Islamic Education teachers in selected Arabic schools in Kuala Lumpur about teaching skills derived from the stories of prophets, and observe their practices of these skills in the classroom. In addition, this research aims to develop a proposed model to assess teachers’ performance through the teaching skills derived from the stories of prophets. In order to achieve these objectives, this research employed qualitative approach which is based on grounded theory and case study. To collect the data, a checklist of teaching skills derived from the stories of the prophets was used, specifically from chapters of Al-A’raf, Hud and Al-Shu’ara. In addition, interviews, observation in the classroom, and analysis of the content by using ATLAS.ti. program were also used to collect the data. The number of respondents of the interview was (10), consisting of 5 males and 5 females, while the observation applied to 8 of them. The results, through the analysis of the selected prophets’ stories and interview of the teachers about their perceptions revealed that a large group of educational skills, and this can be categorized into four main areas. Among these skills were: the skills of honoring and respecting the learner, providing an organized and safety learning environment, compliance with good allegiance, rise achievement, setting goals, caring of the human being side, asking questions which is raising thinking and reasoning, using symbols and the senses, employment of proper language and meaningful dialogue, and facing situations by patience and wisdom. Moreover, the mastery of knowledge was the most prominent challenges faced by teachers. The observation revealed that the verbal side overcomes the teaching situation, scarcity in promoting emotional learning. This research was able to develop a proposed model to assess teachers’ efficiency in the classrooms through the teaching skills that derived from the stories of prophets. The research recommends such as the establishment of an educational theory which focuses on teaching skills derived from the stories of prophets as provided in the Holy Quran.
