Vocabulary is one of the most important elements of a second or foreign language, as it provides a solid foundation for students to listen, speak, read, and write in the language that they learn. Inadequate vocabulary will make them struggle to acquire and practice these four language skills. Thus, teaching Arabic vocabulary is one of the main requirements in teaching Arabic as a second language, especially for beginners who are non-Arabic speakers. This research aims to reveal the effect of employing the nine events in teaching Arabic vocabulary to beginners who are non-Arabic speakers in the light of student-centered teaching. This research was conducted using the quasi-experimental method, where 30 students participated in the study as a research sample, forming two groups: the treatment group and the control group. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test and were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) program. The research results indicate that employing the Gagne nine events of instruction in the light of student-centered learning has a relatively positive effect, as result shows that there is a statistically significant difference between the results of the pre-and post-tests of the treatment group. At the same time, there is no statistically significant difference in the post-test results between the treatment and control groups. The results of this study will contribute to achieving benefits for Arabic language teachers and developers of Arabic language educational programs, as it can help them expand their knowledge about strategies in employing Gagne's nine events of instruction in the light of the student-centered learning approach so that they can implement them confidently and smoothly while preparing appropriate educational programs or activities in order to create active and effective learning experiences for students. The study ended with some recommendations.
