    This research aims to introduce Hanafi Hadith scholars in India as well as discuss their contributions in presenting prophetic tradition. It also targets the removal of allegations regarding Hanafi’s lack of caring in citing Hadith on jurisprudential issues, their minimal concern with authoring in this discipline and the fact that there is no memorizer or narrator among the followers of the Madhab. Research findings prove the status of prophetic tradition (Sunnah) to Imam Abu Hanifa, his interest in transmitting the prophetic tradition as well as contributions of memorizers and narrator from among his followers and their great effect on Hadith through the 14th century. The research also introduces 15 narrators Scholars from Hanafi Madhab in India as well as briefly presents what they authored in this field and an extensive study the most important of these books. The research followed the orthodox method to collect historical information about Hadith science, its origin and evolution in India as well as obtain biographies of Hanafi narrators in this country. The researcher adopted an inductive approach to cater for the representation of Hanafi’s' narrators’ contribution in India through centuries. The illustrative method is to describe Hanafi narrators’ characteristics, biography and ethics. The study also followed the analytical method to analyze the Hadith work of scholars according to known standards in Hadith science. The study came up with a number of results; the most important of them are the proof of the status of prophetic tradition to Imam Abu Hanifa, the introduction of some great Hanafi scholars in India and the highlight of the existence of a number of Hanafi narrators and memorizers through the centuries as well as their scientific contribution via classification, authoring, explanation and investigation. The study also discards allegations regarding them not caring about Hadith. The study concludes with a set of recommendations.
