The aspects of leadership behaviour studied are transactional and transformational. There are six dimensions under leadership behaviour which had been identified by Bass. Two of the dimensions are contingent reward and management by exception - under transactional leadership behaviour. The other four are charisma, individualized consideration, inspirational and intellectual stimulation under transformational leadership behaviour. Both aspects are independent variables while job satisfaction is dependent variable. The questionnaire used to collect data in the research consists of three sections, 1.e. demography, leadership behaviour and job satisfaction. The survey was distributed to the 110 staff in the college. The response rate was 63.6% (comprising heads of departments/units/co--ordinates, lecturers, and support staff). ยท Five out of the six hypotheses are accepted. The author provides suggestion for further research at the end of the report.enCopyright International Islamic University MalaysiaTeachers -- Job satisfaction -- MalaysiaTeacher-principal relationships -- MalaysiaTeachers -- Training of -- MalaysiaRelationship between transactional and transformational leadership and job satisfaction : a case study in one of the teacher training colleges in MalaysiaMaster Thesishttps://lib.iium.edu.my/mom/services/mom/document/getFile/LXyKwlRLQ7LUCq1u95TkDxlV2jhF0Hgk20070213150609921
