This research seeks to answer three main inquiries requires: (1) Is there a relationship between debate and development of Arabic speaking skill? (2) Is there a statistically significant difference between male and female in joining Arabic debate? (3) Is there a statistically significant difference between male and female in developing Arabic speaking skill. The researcher adopted the interrelationship approach, where the data was collected by conducting a speaking skill test on 60 male and female students who participated in debate to obtain the desired information. Data and information were then analyzed using the percentages, frequency calculation, mean and Pearson correlation coefficient to measure the degree of correlation between debate and speaking skill, and T-test to find out gender differences. The results of the research indicated that debate has a positive relationship with speaking skill and also indicates that there is a statistically significant difference between male and female students in enrolling the debate in developing speech skill.
