Even the most famous instruments have been found to be deficient in terms of their psychometric properties. Moreover, current measures of critical thinking are based on the western world view. This study aimed to develop a Critical Thinking Scale derived from some stories of Holy Qur'an, and determine its reliability, validity, item Difficulty Index, and discrimination. The scale has four parts, and applied on (158) participants of university students. The results of analysis showed that Cronbach alpha of the general test was (0.885), and (0.885, 0.829, 0.772, 0.721) for the first, second, third and fourth part respectively. The confirmatory factor analysis showed that the four parts achieved a good fitting with the latent constructs. The first part had (CMIN/DF: 1.446), the second part had (CMIN/DF: 1.357), while the third part had (CMIN/DF: 1.417), and the fourth part had (CMIN/DF: 1.151). Additionally, (100%) of items had an acceptable level of item difficulty, and (78.4%) had a good discrimination. It is worth mentioning that (48%) of items passed (0.50) of discrimination degree which is rarely achieved in practice, as some experts refer.arCopyright International Islamic University Malaysiaتصميم وتقنين مقياس للتفكير الناقد مستنبط من القصص القرآني /|cإعداد شروق جواد كاظم الجبوريDoctoral Thesishttps://lib.iium.edu.my/mom/services/mom/document/getFile/8TezYyE0sTDUj4rhx6ZODs0BuSdgD1hC20140721114129912Tasmim wataqnin maqiyas lil-tafkir al-naqad mastanbitu min al-qisas al-qur'any
