Sheikh Muhammad Ikramuddin al-Badakhshani, the author of Azhar al-Bayan fi Tafsir Kalam al-Raḥman, is one of the most prominent scholars who wrote on the interpretation of the Holy Quran in Persian in the twenty-first century in Afghanistan. His tafsir is considered a significant reference for preachers and scholars. Despite the importance of this tafsīr in scientific and political life, Sheikh al-Badakhshani's methods of tafsir and his approaches to deriving sciences related to the Holy Quran have not yet been sufficiently studied and analysed. His tafsir is characterised by a clear and simple style, which contributes to facilitating the understanding or for the meanings and interpretation of the Holy Quran, whether for specialists or the public. The importance of his Tafsir is evident in its balance between analytical and rational interpretation, while adhering to tradition and sound mind. In this study, the researcher employed an inductive and analytical method to collect information related to Azhar al-Bayan fī Tafsir Kalam al-Raḥman, comparing it with other available sources to determine Badakhshani's approach to his tafsir. The researcher then studied and analysed his opinions on issues related to tafsīr and Qur'anic sciences. The researcher reached important results, most notably that Sheikh al-Badakhshani relied on an integrated approach that combines the interpretation of the Qur'an with the Qur'an, the interpretation of the Qur'an with the authentic Sunnah, and the sayings of the companions and followers, while simplifying the legal meanings in an easy linguistic style, making it a pivotal source for studying and understanding the Holy Qur'an. The research also illustrated that -Azhar al-Bayan fi Tafsir Kalam al-Raḥman- offers a comprehensive vision that combines knowledge and narration and is concerned with doctrinal and jurisprudential aspects and the sciences of the Qur'an, making it an important source for studying and understanding the Holy Qur'an.
