In every kW of electricity, which is used in air-conditioning, about 4 kW of the thermal energy is dumped into the environment at about 80o C causing the global warming. In this thesis, experiments are carried out on water heating and drying using a Solar 3 in 1 system. The values were taken for an interval of every 10 minutes and the heat variation inside the tank and the drying weight of the cloth were measured. The drying is carried out by using the waste heat from the condenser. A mathematical model has been formulated for the system and the simulation is carried out with MATLAB. A series of experiments were conducted under the meteorological conditions of Malaysia to compare the results of the experimental and predicted values. The values were in agreement with the predicted and experimental results.enCopyright International Islamic University MalaysiaSolar energyHeat -- TransmissionWater heating and drying using solar energy and air-con wastageMaster Thesishttps://lib.iium.edu.my/mom/services/mom/document/getFile/8pMqdVGEKk9NQfbdthqBEbxYDxTTBJhA20161116121004578
