Abstract
The objective of this research is to study the multicultural students’ communication channel preferences towards knowledge sharing. The study investigates the relationships between attitude, environment, motivation and culture with communication channels. The study also investigates the relationships between gender and age with students’ communication channels preferences. The study uses quantitative design approach. Data is collected from students studying in IIUM Gombak Campus. The participants consisted of students originating from the regions of Middle East, West Africa, Southeast, Asia and Eastern Europe. Information was solicited by the use of a survey. Various measure like ANOVA, multiple regressions, correlation and descriptive statistics were used to analyze the data collected. Attitude and environment were found to be having significant relationships with students’ communication channels preferences. Motivation indicators, culture, age, and gender were seemed to be having no significant relationship with students’ communication channels preferences.
