Abstract
Total knee replacement is one of the most successful surgery in orthopaedic. It has long term survival of more than 90% which were reported in many studies. However, TKR is never without complications. New techniques have been introduced to overcome or prevent complications as well as improve the outcome of TKR. One of it is CAS in TKR which aim at improving the accuracy of implant placement in TKR surgery. Debate is still going on whether CAS improve the outcome of TKR surgery. We conducted a retrospective cross-sectional study in total of 71 patients comparing radiological outcome using plain radiograph and functional outcome using modified HSS knee score and SF-36. We found that there is no significant outcome in radiological outcome except in tibial slope where there is significance difference favoring CAS than conventional method with p<0.05. We also found that there is no significance difference in functional outcome in all the patients.
