Abstract
This study aims to find out the impact of the studio education on non-native Arabic speakers in learning the Arabic language for beginners. 58 second year students were randomly selected from Imtiaz secondary school in the state of Terengganu in Malaysia. To achive the purpose of the study, the descriptive empirical approach was ustilised, where the sample was divided into two equal groups, experimetal and control. An achievement test and interviews were used to answer the research questions. Prior to the final trial, the test was given to experts in the field of teaching Arabic to non-native speakers for content validity. The personal interviews were used to gather more in-depth information from specialists in teaching Arabic language. Pre-test and post-test were done to examine the effect of the studio education on students’ achievement in Arabic language for beginners. The experimental group was taught using studio education and the control group was taught using the traditional education. The results of the study indicated that there was a significant difference between the two groups’ achievement at level (0.05) in favour of the experimental group. However, the difference was small. Based on these findings, it is recommended to apply the studio system of education in teaching Arabic language for beginners. Teachers and students should be trained on how to use this educational system effectively.
